Love Love Love ...& a lovely friend on the side!

The Geelong Botanical Gardens seems to be a favorite location of late - even with a pinch of rain this morning its colors still managed to glow- as did my subjects.

These two beautful souls could have easily have been having their wedding photos taken - take 2! They are so clearly still in love - their laughter was infectious and intimacy shows through the images, just like a bride and groom on their wedding day. Also just like any good wedding there was a best friend thrown in for good measure ..... lots of giggles and belly laughs!

Beautiful Families + Beautiful Souls = Magical Photographs!

This year has been an absolute whirl wind - in a good way! So many gorgeous mums, dads, brothers, sisters, aunties, grandpas have invited me not only into their homes and lives but have allowed me to share a little of their most treasured possession - their soul! They have turned on their heart light and in doing so have enabled us to capture such a beautiful part of themselves and their relationships to hold onto forever more. I have so many favorites that I couldn't possibly post them all but here is a small number of the highlights of 2010. Thank you to all of the beautiful families for helping make my dreams come true in 2010. Bring on 2011 with a bang!

Family Portraits/Photographs with a Bunny on the side!

When arriving at this shoot I was greated with a gorgeous family of four all looking their finest for some family portrait shots. The house was divine... old style with a modern twist and heaps of character. Lot of great locations for individual photographs of the little munchkins also. As we explore along the way we came across a fluffy wonder that was so cute that I couldn't resist a snap of him also. Although Christmas is just around the corner this is exactly what I imagine the 'real' Easter Bunny to look like... cheeky !

Families.... & Geelong Newspapers - interesting combination for a Saturday!

This morning I was woken with such a lovely surprise.........(no, not the kids waking up at 6.30am!) ----
the dear Amanda and gorgeous Kate (and their Families) had their emotional story told in words and in photographs. Margaret Linley from the Geelong Advertiser told the story of how princess Xaidy came to into the world. And what a story it is to tell - trust me you need a box of tissues close by whilst reading. Inspiring stuff.
But to add to the special story there was a selection of Photographs that little me took - yes just me the family/wedding photographer  had her photos featured in the Geelong Addy's - Geelong Times. Full front page and all !!!!!
To second that I was lucky enough to photograph a Geelong family with the most stunning little princess ever - Indiah. Indiah and Mum, Tamra and Dad, Steve met up with me as we captured their love for their daughter. They are one of those families where there is so much love clearly on display. Not that other families don't have as much love - no not at all - just that this threesome seem so bonded with each other and it really showed up on camera too.
My awesome morning was soonly put to rest after a re-scheduling of the afternoon shoot due to this darn weather........GO AWAY RAIN!

Sunday brings another family and no rain.... no rain... no rain. Surely if I say it enough it will come true!
